INT. JON'S CHAMBER - DAY
TINY JON SNOW lays in bed, covers pulled high. He's about five or six years old. He's awake, staring moodily at the snow falling outside his window.
There's a sudden loud pounding on his door.
TINY ROBB (O.S.)
(muffled by the door)
Jon! Jon, wake up!
TINY JON
Go away.
TINY ROBB STARK barges in anyway.
TINY JON
I said go away.
TINY ROBB
It snowed! Come on, Jon.
TINY JON
It's winter. It's always snowing.
TINY ROBB
There's a lot of it today. Let's make castles again.
TINY JON
I don't want to make castles.
Robb comes over to the side of Jon's bed and pokes him in the face.
TINY JON
(annoyed)
Robb...
TINY ROBB
Come outside.
Jon sighs dramatically and burrows down under the covers, forming a sullen lump in the middle of his bed.
Robb jumps on him and starts beating him up through the blankets. Jon yelps and tries to fight back, but is pinned down under the covers.
TINY JON
(muffled)
Ow! Stop it! Robb! I can't breathe!

Jon fights his way out from under the covers and takes a big gulping breath of air.
TINY JON
STOP IT!
Robb jumps off the bed.
TINY ROBB
Come outside.
Jon sighs.
TINY JON
Why can't you just build your own castles?
TINY ROBB
What's the fun in having a castle if no one's attacking you?
Robb jumps up onto the bed again and scooches up close to Jon.
TINY ROBB
We can do Harrenhal. I'll let you be Aegon again. I'll be Harren the Black, and you can roast me alive in my castle while I scream.
Robb giggles and gives Jon an excited, expectant look.
Jon looks at him and tries to maintain his deadpan, but is finally unable to resist Robb's enthusiasm. A small smile breaks through. He gets out of bed and starts getting dressed.
Robb bounces restlessly as he waits for Jon.
TINY ROBB
Hurry up.
Jon gives him a look and deliberately slows down.
TINY JON
Say "hurry up" again.
Robb makes a frustrated noise, but bites his tongue as Jon finishes getting dressed.
They make for the door together, still open from when Robb burst in.

Just before they reach the door, Robb gives Jon a hard shove backward into the room and darts out into the hallway.
TINY ROBB
(running away)
Race you!
TINY JON
(running after him)
Robb, that's not fair!
EXT. WINTERFELL COURTYARD - DAY
YOUNG ROBB STARK and YOUNG JON SNOW are racing through the courtyard. It's summer, and they're older now, about thirteen or fourteen.
They're racing neck-and-neck, until Jon sees CATELYN STARK coming around the corner. He slows down in the home stretch. Robb pulls ahead and touches his hand to a post.
YOUNG ROBB
Ha! I win.
YOUNG JON
(over-emphasizing)
You win.
Robb blinks in confusion. He follows Jon's gaze, turns, and sees his mother walking past. He sighs in annoyance and gives Jon a glare as they wait for her to disappear out of the courtyard. Then once she's gone:
YOUNG ROBB
It's not fun when you let me win.
Jon deadpans at him.
YOUNG JON
You must not have very much fun.
Robb makes an offended face. He takes a swing at Jon, who laughs as he dodges it. He runs away, and Robb gives chase.
